Cockney CHAI 2025 is a gathering for London-based Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) researchers and practitioners, ahead of the CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems in Yokohama, Japan.
Building on the success of the inaugural pre-CHI event at UCL Interaction Centre in 2024, we aim to strengthen connections within the London HCI community, provide a supportive environment for rehearsing CHI talks, and offer a ‘slice of CHI’ to those who may not be able to attend the full conference.
Join us for a day of insightful presentations, networking opportunities, and a chance to experience the excitement of CHI in London!
We extend our gratitude to the King’s Institute for Artificial Intelligence for their generous funding and support of the event.
Monday 7th April 2025
09:30 - 17:00
Strand Building, Strand Campus, London, WC2R 2LS
Please note, King's events are free, which means we routinely overbook to allow for no-shows and avoid empty seats. Admission is on a first come, first served basis via Eventbrite, so please arrive in good time to avoid disappointment. We will not be able to admit those without tickets or latecomers.
Please use the link above to complete a Microsoft Forms survey about your presentation for Cockney CHAI. The deadline is March 20th, but please complete it as soon as possible, as spots are limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
This year, ‘Cockney CHI’ will be ‘Cockney CHAI’ as the theme is human-centred AI. Sponsored by the King’s Institute for Artificial Intelligence, the event will feature the usual CHI warm-up talks, as well as highlighted talks and panel discussions around human-centred AI and its far-reaching impacts.
